College of American Pathologists offer free e-mail mammogram reminders
The College of American Pathologists (CAP) is dedicated to quality medical care for the American public and realizes the important part every College employee plays in that effort. As a part of this focus, CAP members have designed and operate MyHealthTestReminder.org, a website allowing the public to sign up to receive an e-mail reminder for health screening procedures, such as mammography.
Individuals can choose any date they like, and a message will be sent to the e-mail address provided reminding them to schedule their screening test. Reminders are available for mammography, cholesterol, colon cancer, diabetes, Pap, prostate cancer screening tests, as well as a reminder to schedule a time to offer the gift of life through a blood donation.
The CAP formed in 1947. Since then, it has emerged as the leading voice for pathologists.
